Overview

After logging in, you'll land on your Dashboard - your command center for monitoring business performance at a glance. The dashboard displays real-time metrics, sales trends, and quick insights to help you make informed decisions throughout your business day.

What You'll See:
  • Key performance indicators (KPIs) showing today's and monthly performance
  • Visual charts displaying sales trends and top products
  • Stock alerts when items need reordering
  • Quick statistics about your business operations

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Row 1: Daily & Credit Metrics

Average Daily Sales (30 Days)

What it shows: Your average sales per day over the last month

Why it matters: Helps you understand typical daily revenue and spot trends

Today's Sales

What it shows: Total sales made since midnight today

Why it matters: Track your progress throughout the day in real-time

Today's Purchases

What it shows: Total value of stock purchased today

Why it matters: Monitor spending on inventory and cash flow

Outstanding Credit

What it shows: Money owed to you (positive) or money you owe (negative)

Why it matters: Manage receivables and payables effectively

Row 2: Monthly Performance

This Month's Sales

What it shows: Total revenue from 1st of month until today

Resets: Automatically on the 1st of each month

Month Profit

What it shows: Gross profit for this month (sales minus cost of goods)

Note: Doesn't include expenses like rent or salaries

Reorder Alerts

What it shows: Number of products below minimum stock level

Action: Click to view which products need restocking

Total Users

What it shows: Number of staff accounts in your system

Includes: Admins, cashiers, and all other user types

Visual Charts

Sales Trends - Last 7 Days

What it shows: Line chart of your daily sales for the past week

Why it's useful:

  • Spot patterns in your sales (busy days vs slow days)
  • See if sales are trending up or down
  • Plan staffing for busy periods
How to Read It:
  • Higher peaks - Better sales days
  • Lower valleys - Slower days
  • Overall slope - Your trend direction

Top 5 Best Sellers (This Month)

What it shows: Bar chart of your 5 best-selling products

Why It's Useful:
  • Know what customers love
  • Ensure top sellers are always in stock
  • Focus marketing on winners

Tip: Keep these items prominently displayed in your shop!

Top 5 Profit Generators (This Month)

What it shows: Products that earn you the most profit

Important Distinction:

Best sellers aren't always best profit makers!

Example: You might sell 100 units of Product A at small profit, but only 20 units of Product B at huge profit - B makes you more money

Strategy: Balance stocking popular items with high-profit items

User Roles Distribution

What it shows: Pie chart of your team by role (Admins, Users, etc.)

Why it's useful: Overview of your team structure at a glance
